Having eight master pirates, I have a few that fit ye Arch type mold. I have one that is the voodoo specialist. He has quite the collection of voodoo dolls. Other have blades, example two use primarily sabres. Two cutlasses. One is as ye described has a fine selection of blades.
All my pirates are sailors. Because this is my favorite game activity. It would be nice to have new skills thrown into the mix so ye could be more specialized. Ye can specialize as a master pirate, but at lower levels it would be very difficult for the reason ye stated.
Who knows what the future holds for our game? This may come to be next year.
