I'm not sure what the big deal about them is, but I do know that most pirates either love them, or hate them. One pass through Abassa and you're more than likely going to see a few pirates arguing over the guild. Regardless, I personally haven't dealt with them in the past, so I can't accurately comment.

There are a lot of varying definitions as to what type of guild is small, and which is large. In my own terminology,"Small Guilds" usually refer to guilds that have roughly under about 125 pirates. Medium guilds usually range from about 125 - 300 members, and then larger guilds would consist of 300 - 500 pirates (the max amount one guild can hold.)

Of course, this scale will probably be different for somebody in a guild like McRaging, Spania, etc. that have a guild bursting at the seams, than somebody like me with a guild of 180. It all depends on perspective.

And, as I always say, remember size does not make the guild. A guild of 20 quality members is better than an army of 500 screaming, inactive pirates.

very good point del

i was in a guild that allowed only unlimited members and we died at 180 or something like that because of innactivity on the gms part but when it was arround 100 members i joined and i loved it i had recently left the savvy on my main pirate Finn and i logged on xander because he was my only other pirate he was in the guild and i really liked them. so i asked for them to invite Finn and there was at least 10 members online. the guild had been around for at least 3 months and lasted 1 and a half years after that but my point is that the guild lasted a really long time just enough time for the gm to master 4 pirates and stop playing and he only invited unlimited

the point in only inviting unlimited is to prolong the time the guild exists the reason the guild died was not because of innactive guild members but because of an innactive gm the most common way for a guild like that to die is losing a key part of the guild ik that because of the savvy and the US Defenders.
