When we realized that no GuildMaster could be appointed after I left, and that other issues existed, a bunch of us have contacted Tech Support to see what could be done. Since then, I've called Tech Support twice, submitted a bug report, and sent several emails to Customer and Technical support. Here my questions and Disney's Tech Support's Answers:

My Questions sent to Disney POTC Support:

"The problem is that when I was removed as Guildmaster, the guild stayed intact, but with only Officers and members. No GuildMaster can be appointed from within the guild, and so far according to the other support areas, no one can ever be GuildMaster again. This also means that a guild can have Officers, but never be able to promote new Officers (or remove them).

Please let me know what we can do to reinstate Jane O'Malley or Janey O'Malley as Guildmaster for the Widow Makers. I do not see how this could be a huge technical inconvenience for the Pirate's developers. I can't imagine they don't have the capability to do this.

If this will never, ever happen, and I am told that again (which - how can this be a complex thing to fix in the game???), my Plan B consists of restarting the guild. There are several issues with this and several unknowns, so I have a lot of questions:

1) If I start a new guild, bring over the current members of the Widow Makers, how does this affect our guild statistics?

2) How do the Guild Leaderboards work? What are they based on... past history of the guild as a whole, regardless of who was a member, even if they left at some point? In other words, is it a compilation of stats from all of the players who have ever played under the guild "Widow Makers"? Or is it something else?? When someone joins your guild, do all of their stats come over with them to the guild, or do the stats start adding up only once they have joined the guild?

3) If I start a new guild, can I get my original Guild name back? What are my options here? Can I get my guild's stats transferred over to the new guild I create? What about spreading the word to current Widow Makers who may not play much? What about inactive players (those who have canceled their memberships or left the game) - do they still show up? Can you remove them? Doesn't this sound like a really complicated way of fixing this issue?

Disney's Answers:

"A guild will keep it's statistics if one member leaves and joins another guild, but any additional statistics while that member is not in the guild will not apply and cannot be transferred from one guild to another."

"After checking with our engineers on whether a Guildmaster can be reassigned to a guild when the original leaves, unfortunately they do not have the functionality to successfully reassign a Guildmaster to a guild, whether it be the original Guildmaster or to promote another member to be Guildmaster."

"We certainly apologize for your frustration regarding this issue. However, as we've previously confirmed with our engineers, they simply do not have the tools available to them to restore a pirate as Guildmaster. In addition, due to this issue of the "Widow Makers" guild not having a Guildmaster assigned, we are unable to access the guild information in order to pull the name to make it available for use again. We are also unable to copy over or boost guild statistics from scratch due to limitations on our server databases."

While any current guild Officers still have some control over inviting new members to join or over who should be removed, unfortunately the only option for regaining complete control is to create a brand new guild from scratch. We apologize that we are not able to do more for you."
