How do I create a Pirate?
After you log in, you can create your Pirate using the Make-A-Pirate interface.

You can control your pirate by using the following keys:
W: move forward
A: move left
S: move backward
D: move right -OR- Up Arrow: move forward
Left Arrow: move left
Down Arrow: move backward
Right Arrow: move right
Normally, the mouse will control your view of the game. In this mode, the pointer will not be visible. Attack enemies by left-clicking, and choose special attacks by right-clicking. Use the number keys to choose different weapons.
Press the Tab key to activate the pointer. When the pointer is visible you can click buttons on the screen.
Press the Control key to board a ship, steer a ship or man a cannon. Press the Escape key to exit ship steering or to leave a cannon.
How do I join a crew?
To invite a Pirate to join your crew, walk up, and click on them. You'll see an interface in the corner of your screen which includes the option to invite that Pirate to join your crew.
How do I meet other Pirates?
You can meet other Pirates by inviting them to join your crew, by playing card games with them, or by battling enemies alongside them. You can also interact with them using the Speed Chat.
How does chat work?
Chat can take the form of in-game "Speed Chat," which uses ready-made words and phrases. Pirates of the Caribbean Online also includes open chat, which can be enabled by an adult or a parent.
The chat buttons can be found in the top left corner of the screen.
How do I get a Beta key?
To gain access to the Pirates of the Caribbean Online beta, register here.
Why do I need a Beta key?
Because the software is in development, we are restricting access. The Beta key ensures that we can support the game's population and still gain valuable insight into the game's features.
What does Beta mean? It's the second letter in the Greek alphabet, and typically used in the software industry to indicate that the software is in its pre-release testing phase.
Can I post screenshots or information about the game?
No. Publishing any information to the Internet or to any other location or any other medium will result in your expulsion from the Beta program, and may result in other corporate disciplinary action.
Does it cost anything to play during Beta?
No.
