Well, as a treatise to show what ingenuity this guild is to roam with, I am disclosing tactics I would've rather kept to myself and the Guild. I will post such maneuvers here in this post.
Here I have ship combat maneuver one:
Alright, this hypothetical ship can hold 6 people. It has three cannons on each side, as illustrated:
O. .O
_
O. -O- .O
O. .O
The capital
O's with the periods nearby on the far sides are cannons. The O in the middle is the helm. Now, say we are battling a ship on the right. The cannons on the right are to be filled with top notch cannoneers. What about the three people who cannot fire at the ship with the cannons? They are to line up at the helm, firing broadsides on the right and opening fire in order. After one fires, he/she is to get at the end of the line. This is to openly get in as much damage as possible in the shortest and orderliest amount of time. Now, naturally, a War Frigate and a War Galleon each hold more than 6 people, so I'm gonna need more people to fill in those roles. So far, I have... nada. Anyway, these strategies of mine are what requires those who join the guild to use their skill points as such.
So, in order of roles, we have cannons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6. 1, 2, & 3 are on the left. 4, 5, & 6 are on the right. These cannons are to be actively maintained by the best. We have shipmates a, b, c, d, e, & f. a, b, & c are to fill cannons 4, 5, & 6. Shipmates d, e, & f are to line up at the helm. d is to take control, fire his broadside (in this case right), open fire, and possibly activate his leadership ability. Then, he is to leave the helm, and get behind e & f. e is then to take control. He too will fire his broadside, Open Fire, and possibly activate his Leadership ability. He then will leave the helm, get behind f & d, and f will take control. He will do as the others did. Then, they all rinse, wash, and repeat.
