pistol is the EASIEST weapon to level in the entire game..so yes its odd.
Its just boring to do so.
take aim, barely charged so it does little damage,(try to release the shot before it hits the first marker point) using basic lead shot. helps if you have not upped the damage on either of these two skills. Id go for stumps at your level. easy 100 rep.
pistol can be fully mastered this way, without the need for ANY other shot types.
