Exactly right. the Stowaways are the problem. Game mechanics arent boarding your ship, people are.
(none of the following is directed at 'you' personally, I am using 'you' generally.)
Ok, *poof* your wish is granted, in a surprise update, ship captains are given the ability to eject non crew members from their ship, absolute power.
Good, the griefer players can no longer board your ship willy-nilly.
Does that sound good to you? solve the stowaway problem and now you can go back to the high seas in peace and quiet?
Uh-uh. See, as a griefer, they are looking to have fun at the expense of yours. The griefer follows you around, every time you get ready to board a flagship, the griefer has fun sinking your target with firebrands. He already knows there is not a thing one you can do about it.
Maybe instead, the griefer puts his ship between you and the flagship, so you just plain cant board. What can you do about it? You cant TP to his ship and take it over, sailing it out of your way.
Sooo, you come on the boards and start a thread about 'Getting rid of a Blocker'
Your enjoyment of sailing the high seas is once again ruined.
As of now, there are ways of dealing with griefers in most every situation (including stowaways). I am just saying, changing one game mechanic to allow, or disallow, a behavior also opens doors to allow a different behavior that players will have *no* way to combat.
Anyone that has played MMO's for any period of time know that 'fixing' game mechanics is a never ending circle.
