Chapter 1
He woke in a smelly, cramped room. He groped around for a minute, then headed toward the door. When he was outside, he saw a woman petting a croc. He stared at this marvel for a moment, then talked to the woman.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"My name is Tia Dalma, Richard Cromwell." she replied.
He started at the mention of his name. He wondered if this person could teach him her powers.
"Yes I can teach you my power, Stealthy Cannoneer. This must be your new name so no pirates recognized your name. You will also need a hat."
She gave him a rough tricorne, it looked like nothing out of the ordinary.
"You must never take it off. It will help you to conduct your voodoo powers. So, let us begin your training. First we will start off with a simple weapon.
It is called a doll. First, you must target your powers on an object. Start with this alligator."
He focused his thoughts upon the alligator. He suddenly heared chanting somewhere from his mind. As he focused more, the chanting grew louder. Suddenly, the alligator had millions and millions of wasps around it. Then there was fire surrounding it. It turned on its belly, then died.
"Good,good! Your training is complete. Three things though.
One, here is a staff to cast your powers. Two, I have a crew and a ship waiting for you.
It isn't excatly the Golden Dawn, but will get you to Tortuga in order to find a new ship and expand your crew.
Three, keep the hat on at ALL TIMES!!" Then, with that, she disappeared with a puff of green smoke.
Stealth then went to the bridge, found the boat, and climbed aboard.
