The bank idea is really good. I would love to see this. Maybe if you purchase a guild bank, it will automatically have 1000 gold in it, just to get you started off. It would be great if you had a guildmate who just needed some extra gold. I also like the approval idea. But not for every purchase. The guild master could just set some options such as "Max withdrawal amount per day", or only allow certain ranks to be able to withdraw gold, lock the gold bank, or as you said, make approvals. They could set it so that any withdrawal above a certain amount requires Guildmaster or First Mate approval.
