I like the fort idea. What about this idea:
Every time a side sinks a ship, they gain points, and this goes to the GRAND total which will reset during a certain interval. When you hit certain levels, your side gains bonuses: i.e. at 1000 collected points you gain 5 percent extra damage. At 2000 points the Fort you gain will gain more health, etc etc.
The Fort will reset every say 1-2 hours or so, and the only way to dispatch the fort is to get it to 1 health and then enter the fort and defeat the leader which is guarded by many guards and soldiers that you must defeat first. When you defeat the leader, you gain bounty and then more points, and the fort support is destroyed.
I would like to implement this idea to gain new bonuses and to create more of a twist to SvS.
