I know some of you may not agree with this practice, but I like to leave my pirate on AFK while I am at work or sleeping. I put her on her fishing boat, in the warehouse on Kings, or somewhere on Tormenta so that the guild may use her as a TP totem while I am away from the keyboard.
It is a service I provide to my guild mates and I would hate for it to be taken away.
Another reason I like to have her online is to review guild chat to see if someone left the guild or if someone was guilded. I am the official roll keeper for our guild so it is so convenient to have these things announced in guild chat - a benefit I would lose if they were to boot me after x number of hours of AFK.
