One of the problems I've not been happy with as far as the made over caves is that enemies are so far apart and scattered - you wear yourself out trying to find someone to fight.
Keeping in mind that this is the tropics, jungles naturally make sense and volcanic islands would have lots of caverns - so I get that. But having 'some' variety of environs might be warranted.
At least with the jungles and forests, the number of enemies per square foot is relatively high - but they are mostly LOW enemies. If I had any say is that perhaps areas should be set up so beginners can get their quest items without having to venture too far in, but the deeper you go - the more dangerous it becomes. Some cave areas are like that, but the current forest areas stay fairly flat in their difficulty.
PS - SNOW in the Caribbean? Are ye daft?
