Tips: ( I put as many as I could to help you out )

If you have very little gold left, forget all the other ships - take out the ship that has the very last bit of gold.

Also, naturally, a Sloop of any kind should usually be taken out first - but Light Sloops are always before Sloops. ( Note: If you get Firestorm, shoot it at a single Light Sloop and it, as well as any other Light Sloops around it, will go down.

Never shoot two Mines in the same spot - either one of them or both of them explode.

Try to ignore Barrels, as, while you're shooting, you'll most likely hit them without even trying. However, if there are quite a few, you should take them out.

If you get the Scattershot ammo, use it when ships are really crowding each other - however, in the event that there's only one ship with the last bit of gold you have, forget Scattershot and finish that one out with Round Shot.

Personally, Round Shot is the Ammo I used throughout the whole thing, although in some cases, you will need to use something different. Rarely though, Targeted Shot comes in handy ( Or never at all ).

Cannon Rams that increase Rapid Reload are possibly your best friend here - they might not make such a huge difference in reload speed, but they are great to have.

Optional: Play some calming music ( Or music that you like - could even be a song or background ambience from a video game that you like ).

Also, do you know how you got the gold cannon?

The Repeater Cannon, I believe, was earned when you reach Lv20. Though, to be honest, I'm not truly sure what it does - maybe makes shooting faster?

I found two videos of Cannon Defense, the cannonballs are being shot fast. Besides, the Bandits are going a bit fast, so the Navy made special cannons that fire twice as many cannonballs than the ship cannons, and twice as fast.
I'm still not sure about that - the way the cannons were somewhat bunched together and all, but whatever.

And yes, I know they reload really quickly, but to me, it seemed pretty fast.
And it was quite suspicious how midway through Wave 32, I got disconnected, even though my internet was fine ( And it was the kind of disconnecting when your internet breaks, and the game kind of freezes - nothing takes damage and such. The average Test disconnecting is an automatic "You have been disconnected" notice ). I could most likely be wrong, but it seemed strange.

Also, about that video - so that's where the Tortuga Cannon Defense guy is.....
