Have you checked your settings? If you're on high this could be the case that your computer can't handle all of the graphics and etc so it's gonna burn out and stuff. If this is not it I too have experienced a tad bit more lag, not alot but enough for me to notice. Unfortunately I've learned my computer can no longer play the game for extended periods of time without having some issues.
Oh well, but at least I'm not the one to play for eight hours a day.
