Try contacting Disney, they should know the answer to your problem.
Undead gravediggers are a good place to get loot. They are quick to kill, and since level of enemies don't effect drops, they are sometimes the best. Although, I find Samuel to drop more treasure chests.
Cuba is safe, something must of happened when you teleported. When this happened to me, I was teleporting somewhere, then I ended up getting disconnected.
