I agree.
I've done some pretty stupid stuff in my life, but it was my fault. I got myself into those situations so it was my responsibility to get myself out. There were some pretty crummy lessons to be learned, but rest assured I never repeated those same mistakes again.
From a mother's point of view, I'd help my daughter any way that I could but I would be absolutely
furious if I found out she wasn't on the level with me. When our kid is in trouble, every parent kicks into defense mode, and sometimes rightfully so. But if they had it coming, we just end up looking like complete idiots.
If you're being 100% honest, I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope it gets resolved. If not, well... sorry to say this but every action has a consequence.
