Game ideas

LOOPHOLES IN THE GAME
There's a very good reason why you don't see NPC pirates all over the deck, they would get in the way of any PC crew and would take up a TON more resources to process each and each time. To that end, why have a crew aboard to shoot your deck guns? The invisible crews are already firing your broadsides.

We just accept that there people we can't see. No reason for PC overkill.

MORE ACTIVITIES
Having other career options or ways to earn a living is a nice idea, we're pirates. We're doing this instead of making an honest living. This would greatly complicate a game that has no standing economy.

What you're suggesting would add a whole new set of skills, inventory, etc. And we don't even have a decent inventory now or a trading system. It gets beyond the scope of the game.

Truly, what is needed are more REPEATING mini-quests. There are only a handful right now and they're laughable. Creating repeating little quests with random options would at least make it fresh. Like smuggling, treasure hunting, etc.

What about MORE tavern activities? I've already suggested this on the Grog Blog. How about darts, dice games, arm wrestling contests (using some kind of rock, paper, scissors game to play it out), coin sliding games (See Fable), etc. Again, these little activities are great diversions.

SHIPS
its kinda strange that u see an undead war frigate moving in circles and do not come to the help of their nearby friends unless we go a metre away from 'em

While logic dicates that allied ships would come to each other's rescue; logic also suggests that ships can spot each other MILES away. So, you would have one poor buccaneer being swarmed by a dozen EITC warships if he fired a shot.
Same applies to why when you skewer a Navy Cadet, the whole fort doesn't come charging.

Ship Customization will definitely be cool, but I would not expect a huge shopping mall of vessels to come rolling out. But, even two or three more hull styles would help variety. Also, once pirates can custom paint hulls and sails - the Caribbe will look a lot more colorful and varied.

CONNECTING WITH OTHERS
Can definitely agree that the login page should offer a little personalization. Either show the LAST ship you used or maybe your captain's quarters.

PRIVATEERING
Agree that privateering could offer more sides, but that complicates things a bit again. Perhaps a separate area. Keep the French vs. Spanish, but have a Dutch vs. British SvS area. Making it a free-for-all would upset the entire Lore already in place.

WEAPON COMBOS AND BATTLE MOVES
they should also put it that we bang swords and that the button alt should be used for protection from swords
I like this to an extent, but then it become more of a button-mashing game.

add crouching, kicking, and punching to that.
I would like to see some hand-to-hand stuff actually. The head-butt just don't cut it alone. I mean the French guys get to kick. Make it a Cutlass or Dagger skill, where you can kick an opponent off balance or punch them with the hilt.

Also, folks talk about adding new swords, etc. I'm all for variety, even if it doesn't affect how the weapon works - it still personalizes our experience.

REALISM
Actually eating and drinking. There must be a bar showing whether its time to eat or not. Even drinking.
On the food topic; again asking a bit much for a simple game like this to include such detail. But, keeping that in mind - once they expand the inventory, why not have working food vendors like Prymme, who would sell meats and fruits. These would work ONLY to replenish health at various levels, like tonics.

They already do this with the Pork being served at festivals. It doesn't interfere with our tonic consumption, just adds variety.
