If it's out of the warranty period, then I'd say your best bet is to search around the Internet for sites (or even find a local repair shop) that may have the keyboard you need. Replacing one yourself shouldn't be a huge deal. Replacing most laptop keyboards usually just require removing a few screws and disconnecting a cable (and the reverse to put the new one in).

What model of laptop is it if you don't mind me asking? I may be able to get you in the right direction on finding a worthwhile solution.
