I think adding in different officer ranks is a great idea. These different ranks would only keep the power under control. When ten officers are online and the GM is gone, it can really get out of hand. Sometimes officers decide what they think is right and wrong. That's how I got kicked out of a great guild. Adding in a Co-GM could keep good players from being banned from the guild because one officer was a little bit grumpy. In fact, I think there should be more rankings.

I think there should be regular officers and then super officers.(Kind of like you mods and admins) A regular officer wouldn't be able to ban a member, but put a checkbox by their name. When a super officer, Co-GM, or GM comes online they'll be notified that a regular officer wants a member to be banned. The super officer, CO-GM, or GM can then talk it over to see what went wrong. That way people won't be banned for silly reasons that some officer thought was 'rude'.

Believe it or not, before I got settled into a guild for good I saw a lot of powers being abused. [sarcasm]Getting banned for shooting the forts during a boss battle after being told not is a great excuse to ban someone, am I right?[/sarcasm] With ranks guilds could be a lot better. That's just my opinion but when you've been banned from a guild for a silly reason you know how easy it is for guilds to become corrupt.
