I assure you, I'm comparing them, not dismissing the war sloop out of hand. Try your own comparison; you may be surprised to find that 99% of your evasive maneuvers against NPC ships, depend on the pirate, not the ship. (And that last 1% is negligible.)

What Edward or others say will not change that, not because I don't have a high regard for their opinions, I do, but rather because through my own experience and experimentation I have learned that the sloop fits my style to a T. Others, through the same methodology reach other conclusions about what best suits THEM. The only wrong answer is to let others decide for you instead of finding out for yourself.
