I don't even do "friendly" PvP with my guild. I don't like PvP. PvP is a Royal Pain. I have to log off or go into some building until it is over. I can't even stay in the catacombs during the "event" because I turn undead.
Here's an Idea: why don't we force SvS on everyone, too? During the "event" you are forced to a side by proximity to the SvS island you are closest to. Whether you are on a quest or just out sailing you are forced to fight SvS.
Sounds like a lot of fun for me, but not for those that hate SvS.
Easy fix:
One dedicated server where it is only PvP.
One Dedicated server for SvS.
The PvP would be easier to implement. The SvS a little more difficult. But, Disney could split the islands as if Le Porc and Avaricia had "conquered" them. If you launch from an island under either's control, that is the side you are on.
That gets rid of the goat puke green skies and allows those that wish to participate in this event an entirely good option.
