Well, there are many rumors surrounding POTC4.
I have read articles eluding to it being set in the future, with space "ships".
The fan theory was when hearing this, that Jack gets to the Fountain of Youth, lives forever, and well... starts sailing the starry skies.
This was supposed to be some mechanism to launch yet another story franchise by Disney.. wish i could find that article now.. grrr
