New Depp/Disney Movies
 

Ok, seriously...why hasn't there been more talk about Depp starring in these movies:

The Lone Ranger
Alice in Wonderland

Holy cow! He's going to play "Tonto" in The Lone Ranger! And he's going to play "The Mad Hatter" in AIW, no better role for him, right? And quess who's directing the film? TIM BURTON! That movie was creepy when it came out, and I think it'll be creepy when it comes out agian! I'm still looking forward to each of them. Burton and Depp make an excellent team.

Aye, I agree interesting roles, looking forward to seeing these when they come out. Should make a GREAT Mad Hatter. Tonto.. I just dont 'see' it, but im sure he'll be great.

But I guess alot O pirates dont recognize Captain Jack's entire acting career.
Captain Jack does an excellent Johnny Depp impression for example, its uncanny!

There have been rumors flying all over the Internet about Johnny Depp being the Riddler in the next Batman film. We shall see.

As I turned on my TV this morning and was about to change the channel, guess what commercial popped on? The new Spongebob movie.. and you'll never guess who's guess starring:mybadki6:! Hehe, Yup... Johnny Depp!:laughks2: when I saw that I just had to share... he is a surfer guy or something:piratetongueor4: LOL!

Depp will also be playing The Riddler in the next Batman movie. First Jim Carry and now him? I can't wait to see him in all his upcoming movies.

That film is due to be released in March of 2010.

As for Tonto - that's quite a ways off yet. Currently Depp is filming "The Rum Diary" based on Hunter S. Thompson's book (think Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) in Puerto Rico. He has several other projects that he's commited to in addition to The Lone Ranger.

For instance, he's reprising his role as Captain Jack for the scheduled 2012 release of POTC 4.

His only promotion, to-date, for The Lone Ranger, was at a Disney event late last year where he appeared onstage at Disney's presentation for their long-term projects. He walked onstage in full Captain Jack costume but with a feather sticking straight up out of his hair and ivory/pearl handled pistols stuck in his belt. As of yet, no Lone Ranger has been cast.
