Mouse, Joystick, Gameboard or Keyboard?

Which do you use? I have been playing Pirates on my Macbook using the Keyboard and was wondering what is the best to use to play POTCO?
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated including what brand of Joystick, Gameboard or Mouse is best, if the Keyboard is lacking.

Thanks...

I'm a keyboard and mouse man..... :piratewheelgo2:

I use the keyboard and mouse.
The joystick is probably the hardest way to go in my opinion.

But I would go with whatever you think is best.

Thanks Guys, Perhaps I'll stick with the Keyboard.

Note that to aim cannons with any accuracy at all, you have to use the mouse, not the keyboard.

Thanks Edward, I have noticed with the arrow keys, my cannon will not line up properly at times. So if I'm understanding you correctly, you use both the keyboard and Mouse while playing?

I use the Right mouse button for aim, keyboard for everything else.

I use both the Keyboard & Mouse Combo..... But some times when just leveling or steering my ship I use a game-pad. I find it kind of breaks the monotony of the constant keyboard sounds, and make it feel more like you're actually playing a game. Using cannons though, the only way to go is the mouse. If you are interested in using a game-pad, try to find one with the most buttons you can, and one that supports software that will emulate a keyboard & mouse. It's not as hard as it sounds to set one up though, it's rather simple...... I am currently trying to figure out a way to use my old Microsoft Sidewinder racing wheel while sailing.... maybe some day.

I'm with the birthday girl: mouse when I need to aim (pistol, cannon, thrown daggers, grenades, distance staff) keyboard (sometimes arrows, sometimes WASD, sometimes QWEASD) for everything else. Weapons I switch with F1-F6; almost never with mouse wheel (except to investigate glitches.) When sailing, I will rarely pan the camera with the right mouse (pretty much only when in the BB and SvS.) Happy Birthday Sarah!
