Congratulations to Purv! I can't imagine me being even mighty/patient enough to hit 40 himself, let alone 3 times.

Sorry Tandykins, It came up kind of sudden, cause I was home ill and had a lot of time on my hands. I was left only 360 rep from level 40, and was afraid to even pull a weapon, so since there were quite a few guildies ingame, I decided to do it last night.

I'm going to hold onto the final 3 glows, Pistol, Dagger and Cutlass, and do all of them on a guild night, that way Purv will become my third Pirate Master , finishing all of his glows, on guild night.

Purv carried on the *Mmmmm's from Prob, who took them over from Basil; and Lars, being the youngest, will have to step up mightily to fill their shoes! Besides, Purv still has the entire Pearl quest to do, so he will be around for a long time yet.
Basil still comes out, but I keep Prob hidden, since he still hasn't done his BB, and I don't want that to happen by accident.

Thank-you all for all the help during this, the hardest of my pirates to level. Doing it without all that free rep from the Pearl quest made Purv the longest of the three to get there, and I know, at times, made him a little inaccessible. Grinding weapons for so long, I almost gave up. I appreciate all the support!

For those who didn't understand my last post here, Purvis was an attempt to hit level 40 without doing the Pearl quest, or getting all that free rep. I made the decision to try this when he was level 5 and he had already visited Gibbs, so I stopped the Pearl quest very early, at a place where I knew he would never have to do the next step.

This shot is the glow!


This shows what his weapons levels were when it happened. Cannon and Sailing are both Mastered, along with Doll, Staff, and Nades. Cutlass, Pistol, and Dagger are all high level 24.


This shows where he is on the Pearl quest. Right where I stopped when he was level 5 and I decided to try for Level 40 without doing the Pearl quest.


So, it can be done!

I can empathize, sometimes glows kinda sneak up on ya. I didn't even know I had glowed the other day. I looked down and was all like "what the?!" It was very unsatisfying.}


I think I am going to need some extra - *MMmmmmmmmms - next time I am in game. To help me get over missing your glow.:laughks2:

I had to master 40, I couldn't pull out a single weapon!
