Can't complete Black Pearl quest
 

I've been part of 2 groups that have captured the Black Pearl, but I have not been able to complete the quest. It shows up as 99% complete on my quest list. At the end of the quest the message says to visit Jack Sparrow for my reward, but I cannot find him. Isn't he supposed to be in the one of the taverns on Tortuga? Can anyone help me out of this?

PS - I have been a gunner both times. Does only the captain get to see Jack Sparrow or should the entire crew get to see him? It would seem to be pointless to do the quest if only the captain gets credit for it.

From what I've seen, if someone joins your boss battle through LOOKOUT, it doesn't count towards quest. OK, Sarah has better info...

That's new to me Edward. I have been a part of BB's where the one trying to complete the quest didn't get the "See Jack Sparrow option" though. (And these were guild only crewed BB's). It's a bug, but I thought they got that one fixed. Perhaps not.

Jack should be in the Faithful Bride, sitting next to Joshame Gibbs. If you go in and don't see him, you should probably give Disney a ring, or try live chat support.

Try to shut down the game & the Launcher1.exe program & restart ur computer This one poor dude, my friends & I had to do his BB ELEVEN times before it finally counted. He would get the "visit Jack Sparrow" box after sinking Goliath but his journal wouldn't update & Jack wasn't in the Faithful Bride. He restarted his computer after the 10th time coz someone had suggested that & miraculously his journal updated correctly after the 11th time.

It only worked for me when I started my own crew instead of using someone else's and making sure I did the treasure chest thru the journal not the look out window.

I finally did it!
 

I finally completed the quest last night. I'm not sure what I did differently though. I was a gunner and got the Visit Jack Sparrow quest after dusting Goliath.
