Can't figure out how to get voodoo
 

I don't know if I'm missing an obvious quest or something but I can not figure out how to use voodoo. Can someone please let me know how this is done?

Except for those people playing a character created before the last 2 updates that already had a doll equipped in one of their weapon slots, as far as I know, no one else has the voodoo ability. Both of my early characters had voodoo, but they have gone the way of alot of beta characters...to the depths of Davy Jones Locker.
I am assuming it is an ability that will be unlocked as you progress thru the game and will require training, most likely by Tia Dalma.

Ahh ok, that kind of makes sense. I'm guessing you get it after helping Jack get back the Black Pearl because Tia tells you she will teach you more of the black arts after you have finished this task. I thought I saw someone using the thunder ability against a ship a couple of days ago so that's why I brought it up.

The thunderbolt is an advanced cannon skill that opens for you as you level up your cannon skills.

You used to be able to by a doll from a mystic, there's stores about. However this was blocking positions for other weapons as they were learnt and earned through game quests.

People who brought dolls and daggers, then found they didnt get pistol after doing the quest to learn it. Plus i dont think u were ever sposed to be able to get in first place, the devs were late on implementing the training system that wud of prevented that in the early days.

Now the training system is in place, u now can not buy a doll, dagger or pistol, until u've been shown it through a quest.

The voodoo doll i assume will come later when you meet tia again, as for dagger, well most of of us now are doing that task with will, but don't think any have managaed to complete it fully as yet.
