Somethig cool I found out...
 

I just found out that the Dutchman was a galleon...and pretty much the closest thing to it in POTCO is the war galleon. I was doing some pirates reading, and apparently the dutchman isan "ellegant galleon" when its ghostly (as seen when will turner captains it).

this actually makes sense to me, The war galleon feels like the dutchman in a lot of ways, infact i was surrounded by a bunch of navy light ships and i blew em away like jones did to the pirate fleet in AWE.

I think I was always connecting it to the war frigate because of the front guns and that little...screw or metal thingy...:xmastongue: but yeah, now im associating the pearl with the frig...


K im just rambling now...but the point is I learned something :P and i wish 2 share it.

Wow, that's cool. Never would have thought that. Thought it was a frigate or something.

Im not so sure, seems to me those "Triple Guns" are housed in the front turret of a frigate.
Where they would be on a Galleon class is a bit more vague (not saying its impossible).

OMG maybe POTCO will get a new ship class called "elegant"

lol if the dutchman is an elegant "galleon" Id hate to face an ellegant frigate O.o

I always thought of the Flying Dutchman was a frigate also because of the "forward" triple guns. But then, the POTC world is quite fluid so I'm not sure.

But I have always thought of the pearl as a Galleon.

same here lol, I just saw a picture of this spanish galleon...OMG it looks just like the dutchman (excluding the maw and triple guns). But yeah I geuss I was just looking at the details instead of the details and the overall thing.

I think the dutchman is a war gall with frigate style guns...and some weird jaw...
