similarities with club penguin

Ok, so I saw a commercial for club penguin to go for the Nintendo DS, that allows your DS to earn coins and put them on your account. I can see it for this game too, you could play without other online users and then send data to the account once you get internet again!
The controls:
Computer DS
mouse stylus
movement control pad
Weapon switch L+Direction
Right mouse R+Stylus
This would be great for trips to anywhere!
anyones thoughts?

All ideas are worth sharing.

I think the reason they dont consider this is that such things open the possibilities of end users modifying files locally. It would also require the server portion of the game to be stored locally, this may be immense in size.

A standalone version to 'hook' pirates might be a good way of easing the blow of the volumes of basic players, nothing against them, but with fewer of them, it could help to solve lag issue.

Interesting, dont know about CP that much, so I cannot compare to accurately. The games are VERY different as far as thie game engine, coding, and scoring. The nature of an MMORG is to interact with others though, so.. not likely a direction they'd take anyway. Does not mean the idea does not have merit though. Thanks for posting your ideas!
