Ok, First let me Introduce my self


I'm Kai'onai and I have played many MMORPG'S I have played World of Warcraft,Navyfield,Warhammer online,Seafight, Final Fantasy XI,The Matrix Online, and I'm currently testing to see if I like Pirates of the Burning sea, All I can say is that Pirates of the Caribbean had something to it that just keept pulling me back like World of Warcraft did to me.


Now I might not have much say as to I do not own stocks,bonds,shares or any of the other sort that would actually make me have a word in how Disney decides to run it's game and company but I can say is that I can throw out idea's as a player and hope the majority of the community who still cares enough to try and help me get a point across to Disney that they either need to release new content to keep this game which as many have said "HAS POTENTIAL" BUT DISNEY SEEMED TO F-IT UP SOMEHOW or try to get a way to tell Disney not to let a multimillion doller box office hit movie and game die off.

Now I'm not a test server player but I have had friends who are and I say they are not impress with what's going on, I have a founders coin but I got lucky enough to get it on the last day when they supposedly extended it (Which Disney specifically said only testers would be founders) so tester were lied to right then and there.

SO back to the point of this Petition, I propose though as arrogant as Disney may be with there heads so far up there.....I advise that they seek help and not let a game that has so much potential die off, there are tons and tons of company's out there I'm sure would like to dig there claws into this game and help to give it a stable and better game engine then the free one that Disney chooses to use. PANDA3D. IT would probably be worked on and updated constantly and with new content added probably every other week.

I THINK DISNEY GAME DEVELOPERS OF PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ONLINE NEED TO ASK FOR HELP FROM ANOTHER COMPANY (MAJOR ONLINE GAMING ONE) TO HELP SAVE THERE GAME AND NOT LET IT DIE OFF.

how many of you out there know of a game that was big in the beginning and then all of a sudden just died out of the blue due to lack of what ever....I believe this game can be saved if Disney was to sign a contract of some sorts like Bethesda did with the signing of interplay to help create Fallout 3. something to those sorts.

I love this game and I keep coming back when ever there is something new, but since I left, that was just before the release of Ship vs Ship, and came back I was able to complete all of the quest and other tedious yet pointless task assigned to me in a matter of a day and a half.

Disney you need to either ask for help from another gaming company or SHAPE UP AND GET TO FINISHING THINGS THAT WERE EITHER PROMISED TO THE PLAYER BASE OR WORK ON GETTING SOMETHING TO BRING THIS GAME BACK INTO THE WORKS.

I have tons of ideas that can get this game rolling again, (OFFICIALLY SIGNED BY ME STEAL THEM DISNEY IF YOU WANT JUST GET THIS GAME BACK SO WE CAN ALL ENJOY IT)

-Build house's for players to live in and put furniture in or have us rent space

-expand the map to Cuba, Louisiana, Florida and maybe give us a whirlpool teleport to Singapore

-pets

-kraken

-building your own ship and being able to name it and color it

-for Ship vs ship battles we are suppose to be fighting for islands yet all we are doing is killing one another, how about we actually fight for some territory and being able to bring up a map seeing where players who joined which ever side need to go out and fight and reclaim those islands

-fix the compass in the upper right so it just does not display a plain background how about actually making it a mini map and being able to ping it and instead of ray of light you put in exclamation points

-give us a mini map of the town or island we are on so it makes it easier to get from point A to point B

-being able to throw creates and other useless cargo we do not need overboard so our time at sea is more enjoyable.

-more cutscenes with either dialog or none with charecters from the game

-2nd story chapter how about after we get done saving the pearl we actually use it and go look for davy jones chest with his heart in it....since will turner is still alive and kicking in a warehouse on Port Royal.

-expanding our wardrobe

-tradeing!


-GET BETTER AND STABLE SERVERS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FOR A GAME THAT HAS LOW TO SUPER LOW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AVERAGE PC OWNER OUT THERE I SWEAR WE DO TEND TO LAG A LOT. FOR A SHIP VS SHIP BATTLE WITH A FULL CREW AND DOZENS OF SHIPS I ONLY AVERAGE ABOUT 2 FRAMES PER SEC THAT'S PRETTY SAD FOR A GAME THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A LOT FROM A LOW DEMANDING GAME.

IF THIS THREAD DOES NOT GET DELETED I WILL ADD MORE AS MY IDEA'S COME ALONG.

IF YOUR RUNNING OUT OF IDEA'S DISNEY GO WATCH THE MOVIES AGAIN, YOU SEEMED TO HAD A GOOD FLOW UNTIL SOMETHING WENT WRONG.

Hello Kaoinai. Interesting post, however, Disney is already working on most of the suggested ideas you already mentioned above. You, like me and many others, we all know that this game needs more upgrades. What Disney should have done, and hope they do this soon, is that the lvl cap is too short and this is why many have quit or left the game for a period of time. I bet if Disney would have put the lvl cap to say, 100, everyone who left for some time or quit the game in full, would've been playing.
We understand that Disney cant bring everything we want for the game in one day or two, we are just hoping that this great game never ends. I love POTCO and I am wishing for a more challenging and more exciting POTCO in 2009 and the years to come.

I will add the following idea to your list:

-Events- in collecting prize items on the sea: floating chests when sinking a ship. The chests could contain: gold, any type of clothes, jewelry, or ammo for any weapon.

-Add a Gift Button: Allow Mateys to gift items to their friends.

These are all great ideas save one, trading. Although I can see some benifits to being able to trade gold and other items I feel the bad would outweigh the good. If trading were to be introduced it would be just a matter of days before the goldfarmers will infest this game like so many others.

Gold is not hard to get at all!! Yes, it takes a while in the beginning but once your pirate is leveled to high 20's low 30's you seem to get more than you can hold. If you have a friend who is in need of funds it is quite simple to "gift" it to them. All you have to do is lose a few poker hands to them. I swap gold from my 40 to my baby pirate all the time. How many lv 12's out there do you see running around with upwards of 40 K LOL.

Just my two pennies....**shrugs**

I like the ideas except for Building your own home. This is not Animal Crossing or The Sims.
For one thing that would require a lot of space to build and manage and I don't believe its consistent with a pirates life. They are at sea, no time for a home.
The only other one I question is the pets, but then again often they have a monkey or parrot so that is fitting.
I agree we need higher notoriety and customizable ships, plus the new chapter.
Here's hoping we some new things soon. I haven't played all that long but getting near to level 40 and unsure what I will do after that. I can help low levels or start another pirate, but after all this work don't really want to start another.
