Is Grapeshot Worth It?

Grape shot, in my opinion, has two uses: shooting that one guy that's ALWAYS unlucky enough to draw helm duty on flagships and disrupting enemies in PVP. However there is no real penalty for dieing in PVP, other than having to press shift again to get back on the cannon. So is grapeshot really worth the skill point?

Grapeshot used to be useful in fighting against a few of the 'glitchs' used to cheat in the SvS portion of the game. I do not know wether such glitchs have been resolved, however I do remember that.

If they do bring the Kraken into the game as we have been led to believe it will be someday, then Grapeshot may become imperative to defend our ships against it. (based on its description)

I would personally get it just to have it its could be used in the future (eh at the rate disney is going 5 years?)

The possibility of retraining, has basically opted me to skip both it, and chain shot for now.

Prior to "retraining" I always kept 2 cannon points unassigned 'just in case'.

I have one point on grape shot and chain shot. I like to get a ship completely so will use the chain shot to get rid of sails and grape to get the helmsman. Its not worth much extra but its fun.

I use it against Light Sloops.

One of the reasons I stopped svs's for awhile..tired of getting stunned and made dead by glitching pirates.....
