Fly traps
 

Hi guys, I am trying to get a fly trap leaf but as I am only level 9 at the moment, I keep getting sent back to jail. Any adviced on the best way to defeat a fly trap.

crew up with fellow pirates or guild mates

Use ranged attacks so they can't hit you with anything but spit. It does alot of damage, but it's better thatn spit AND mele attacks!

I would suggest taking some time to level your weapons. Leave the quests alone for a bit until you get your weapons high enough to take on one by yourself. Or, like Davy said, crew up! ;)

I had the same issue on my new pirate (now at level 13). I found if you shoot it a couple of times then go after it with your sword you might be able to kill a level 14 or lower by yourself (potion up before it gets close to running out).

Ask Combat Lizzy how she dealt with this issue when she was a young pup.

Ya use to be able to shoot one at cuba, run outside and back and get them, one bug that was fixed.

Usually you need to try to seek out a lower level one, usually these can be found in the tortuga swamp, but also have seen them in el suduron.

I always used pistol, with bane shot which usually seemed to always unlock about that time. Use a bigger potion, but wait until you are really low on health.

If having to much trouble, get with someone else to help.
