Thanksgiving guide to level

With really nothing to do this weekend, I will throw a few hints out for basically some solo leveling. On live server it is even easier with putting a character in with ya for crew bonus. Done by linking a account to another computer or just using a basic.

The newest updates have added a few changes, obviously Hex shot most felt the most effect. New bosses though have made up for a lot of that though with some poor placements.

Don't do weapon quests until you have reached where you want to get, or basically level 40, and even until afterwards until the skill is complete. Reason for this is to keep the low level skills you want to use for leveling at a lower damage. Each 2 point upgrade is in the general area of 6% damage increase in these low level skills.

Weapons:

Cutlass skills to use at 1 point each:
Hack
Slash
Brawl
Taunt

Parry and Endurance put 5 points in them when you can.

Dagger skills to use at 1 point each:
Cur
Swipe
Asp
Adder
Throw dirt
Sidewinder

Staff skills to use at 1 point each:
Blast
Soul fray

Doll skills to use at 1 point each:
Poke
Curse
Grave shackles can take 5 and still used.
Life Drain 5 as soon as you get it.

Pistol just takes lead shot with 1 point.
Bane I get 5, hex 2-3

Grenade all with one point.
Toughness 5 points soon as ya can
Ignore pain 5 when it is convenient.

Cannon and sailing falls under the same deal.

To gain rep you want to do more hits, not more damage. So having a big whopping hit can be impressive, unless its to save you a trip to jail, not needed. At this point its more important to have protection to yourself so you can take a beating. So toughness for grenadier and later spineskull, and urchinfist. Parry etc for melee attacks and dodge even. Staff and grenades can still be used at kings fence, so not tough until reaching higher levels.

So as working these levels always try to use these single point hits over and over versus damage you can absorb. Soldiers will retreat, but bosses and other enemies have what I would call a glitch, they regenerate while in combat. So if having trouble getting full points in each of your attacks, you can let them regenerate some to start damage on them again.

Nice easy location with a 5 gold healer standing by^

Now how to fight.
Use combos, such as asp, adder, sidewinder, throw dirt. Then cutlass, brawl, taunt, hack, slash. Doll grave shackles, poke, curse, poke. Staff, soul fray. Wait for regeneration if neccesary, do same combo as things you have finish regenerating. Even can get grenades in there if you want some.
Now with a boss standing next to a healer, this can be done all day with no effort. Doing this with trial and error you will eventually find how many staff attacks, cutlass etc. it will take to get the max points in each, or close.

Crew bonus

With also a few grenades solo

I have with 4 weapons got 400 rep, add 60-70 crew bonus to that if using a crew member. Grenades on top of this can be difficult since this enemy approaches you.

If in a crew trying to help you kill this boss for instance you can expect around 90 rep.

Last with the Thanksgiving meet for a heal of 2000, its a good time to go use grenades on two Urchinfist at a time. Kill off Molusk with bane shot, add points to take aim if needed. A couple hex shot a Molusk will be down for like 6 lead shot. Switch to dagger with a asp throw, back to pistol for more lead. When pulls doll again, use hex. I usually finish with a doll drain life, for added points and a heal to end the battle.
