I have nothing more than some cool text codes for you if that's ok.
Remember that the color of the font can be changed.

Code:

<marquee behavior="alternate" direction="up">
  <marquee direction="right" behavior="alternate">
        Text
</marquee>
</marquee>

I think you'll like this one.
Code:

<font color="#33CC00">
<marquee direction=up scrollAmount=0scrollDelay=0 style="filter:wave(add=13,phase=1,freq=3,strength=25)" width=110 height=235><font style="font-family:arial; comic sans ms;font-size:23px;color:.000000"><center><br>
T<br>e<br>x<br>t<br></font></marquee>
</font>

Code:

<b><font color="#3399CC" size="5"><marquee direction="down" style="filter:wave(add=0, phase=1, strength=15, freq=2);color:.556447"><center>Text here<br></marquee></font></b>
Code:

<marquee behavior="alternate">Text</marquee>

Big surprise text that I think you'll like.
Code:

<marquee behavior="alternate" direction="up">
  <marquee direction="right" behavior="alternate">
      <p align=center><table><tr><td style="filter:glow(color=yellow strength=5);font-family:arial;font-weight: BOLD;font-size:'18pt'">Text</td></tr></table></p>
  </marquee>
</marquee>

I am not sure on how to do this but Mac has ya on a good start. Perhaps searching for a guide if one does exist?

The Skirata Clan 12-02-2008 03:15 AM

there's one but it's rather limited... but very very workable.

Sven Osymthe 12-02-2008 03:16 AM

You can also go here to TTC for Mr Red Bull's guide on color codes.
Also, a background for a userpage really makes pages look good. You can find some pcitures for a background in the gallery.

Does marquee work in any browser other than MSIE, ALOT of people use Firefox instead, and there are a few other competing browsers as well.

Marquee at least used to be a Microsoft only tag (like BGSOUND is)

English only is a rule as well, you might want to consider it.

The shudder <marquee> tag is supported under Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Chrome for legacy purposes.

Along the same lines, the shudder <blink> tag is not supported in Internet Explorer, though the same effect can be achieved using CSS. I wouldn't recommend that one either way as it could be detrimental for people who have issues with the screen flickering such as those with epilepsy.
