Hey i started noticing that some of my pictures look pixelated im not sure what scausing this so suddenly i have used photobucket for a while now never had this issue but then suddenly they started getting fuzzy lookin i tried it on upload geek and same thing happened.

Am i the only one seeing my pictures as fuzzy or can everyone see it? And if so can someone tell me how to fix it?

PS When i view my pictures in "My Pictures" folder they look perfectly fine its only after i upload them

I see it that way and I don't know whats wrong.......I use the old uploader for photobucket and mine are fine.

It looks Fuzzy. I upload my Photos in the POF Upload Gallery and they work Fine.

Sven Osymthe 11-28-2008 02:28 AM

are you editing your images or something?

The Skirata Clan 11-28-2008 02:31 AM

Well i use Snipping tool from vista but ive always used that even in VMK and on POTCO never had this problem. And i do use the old uploader for Photobucket (much easier if you ask me)

Ah HAHA! I found the culprit someone changed the picture save from .jpg to .gif i switched it back and now pictures upload fine :D wow i can believe i spent weeks looking for a reason i finally get fed up with it and ask for help and low and behold i find the answer myself.

Mods please close issue resolved!

Chris, the problem is they are being posted in the GIF format on the host your sending them too. This format is limited to 256 colors, and the dithering that is taking place converting your jpg image to a gif (From 16mil colors to 256) is whats causing the appearance you see.
