I suppse this means the holiday updates are coming, but I keep getting booted, and it's making me arrrr.

Was still able to chat and fire a weapon though...weird. Didn't think you could do that.

You too! Ugh thats been happening to me all day as well! I finally switched servers and have been ok for about 15 mintues now but i dont know how much longer it will last.

The Skirata Clan 11-24-2008 11:14 PM

at least it gives you a message. i was just kicked out. i reported it, and they told me it wasn't recorded as a bug. but they were going to look in to it.

Blade 11-24-2008 11:16 PM

that always happens to me. almost.

Deadpool 11-24-2008 11:18 PM

That use to happen to me from time to time. Although I never ytied chatting or using a weapon.

Andrew 11-25-2008 12:42 AM

Happens to me alot, check your graphics on there, keep them on low :)

Chris 11-25-2008 12:52 AM

Its seems better now just lower your graphics and go to a quiet server.

Andrew 11-25-2008 01:20 AM

Oh i didnt read what you put there Sarah..You can fire a weapon and chat cause you still have PARTIAL connection to the servers. When it says "'Your internet connection to the servers has been unexpctedly broken" that just means that you dont have enough connection to display the game, but you still have enough connection to chat and use a weapon...for a few seconds, untill you COMPLETELY loose connection

Sarah 11-25-2008 01:29 AM

Yes Andrew, I was chatting away and firing off staff, but supposidly I lost server connection. Couldn't get my cursor up either, had to go to task manager to log off and shut down. And hehe, you all sound like a canned tech support email, "Lower your settings...Update your drivers" (never had a problem there LOL).

Seems to be all better now, got back in game and stayed for a bit, we'll see later tonight!

Chris 11-25-2008 02:21 AM

Lol that happened to me today but has stopped havent crashed for about an hour or 2.

Andrew 11-25-2008 02:44 AM

Yea, I know quite a bit when it comes to computer stuff :)

may I suggest next time this happens, dont slow down your CP even MORE by going to task manager, just do Alt+F4 :)

Ghostcannon 11-26-2008 08:25 AM

That happened to me last night, after the update. I got the same message in the middle of the screen, I was in the Gunsmith in Tortuga and could see half the screen my pirate and I could move and all of that. Very weird.

Dr. Zeppers 11-26-2008 08:29 PM

I would guess that this was more likely an issue with connectivity at POTCOs side, routing to POTCO from certain areas, or they have changed the sensitivity to connectivity issues in some areas of the game, so that something thinks youve lost connection, but in reality you have not. However generally once any portion of a connection is lost, restarting is likely to be the only way to reestablish it.

Sven Osymthe 11-26-2008 08:33 PM

I have been getting booted but only when I log to switch pirates. Other than that, in game I have graphics on high and I have no problems.

Sarah 11-26-2008 09:10 PM

Figured it out...I think....a theory anyways. Almost every one of my favorite servers got removed from the list. I'm guessing that the massive booting came from being on a server that got suddenly removed. Would re-log to another favorite server, and bam, gone.

eh, just a thought, as I've never had any problems like that before.
