keeping up with other online games
 

This is one of my 1st post but I read the forum on a regular bases.....I feel that if Pirates wants to keep up with all the other online games they need to start expanding real quick....WOW is coming out with a expansion pack for their game why cant Pirates.....If they did this I feel that we would get more people interested in the game and be willing to pay the price.....We need more to do and Im not talking more shopping lists, Im talking more things to get Guilds involved...like a match against other guilds where something tangable could be won.....like a flag or something on that lines. Anyones opinion would be great

my first guess is, that since the game is free to download and play Disney doesn't want to charge for the expansion packs. they are adding stuff, slowly, but free.

from what i know, which might be little since i am a mainly-console gamer is that POTCO is one of the very few games for mac and pc. and free to download.

i might be right and i might be wrong, but either you love the game or you just don't.

I think ya nailed it there TSC... we pay only a portion of the cost they do, and the updates come to us online (and not at the store), so we just have to accept that the pace will always be slower I think.

As a finny 'side story' - two workers here took today and Monday off (they scheduled their 'long weekend' a while ago just for this...) - to play WOW full time for the next four days LOL :D... we may not find them alive ;)

all I can say is WOW...lol...that's pretty lame. I've never played WOW and am afraid to start. I'm easily addicted to games and don't have the time for one of such magnitude. Plus, I don't think my computer could handle that game if it barely runs Pirates.

well does anyone know if they are planning on putting together another story quest? Maybe something with getting stuff done for Jack? I remember hearing talk about something with the Kraken (spelling??)

There have be rumors flying since the begining of POTCO about updates, new story lines and the Kracken. The only way to even assume something new is coming out is to keep an eye on the Test Realease Notes (see news forum), and even then, if it doesn't fly in test, it may not come out to the open server.
