Were these enemies from the BETA stages?
 

Are these enemies from BETA or were they taken out of the game before they the game came out?

I would say those are images from early beta stages, or from another one of the POTC brand name games (likely used in part to develop potco).

Wow those are cool enemies but i think they were removed during early beta like zep said.

Those are good looking bad guys....the images themselves say they're from the BETA if you scroll over them.

Those are not files being hosted by Disney.
Since the source of the images is not stated, we cannot assume the filenames bear any real significance.

For that matter they could be from "BETA" of any similar pirates game.

All is pure speculation until someone that actually KNOWS chimes in... anyone?

Well Zep...since the last two actually say IGN on them...I know they're from IGN. They can be found in the PotCO screenshots.

I was a tester in Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Beta, never seen those enemies in the game before. I have seen those screens before though on the Disney site. They may be from the pre-beta Alpha tests.

those are cool enemies but like zep and grizz said they are from beta

I'd guess that at least two have to be of Disney origin because shot 3 is recognizably Padres del Fuego and shot 4 contains the familiar gypsy healer's wagon.

Now...could this be Beta (or pre-Beta) from the UK POTCO game currently under construction? I've visited the limited site that exists and the skels there look quite different from the version we play. They more resemble the skels in these shots.

Just a thought...I may be way off base.

*Edited to say: I just re-visited the POTCO UK page and there's a skel at the top of the page that's a dead-ringer (pardon the pun) for the Skel in shot 1 in the OP's post. He looks as if he's wearing a Tiki mask.*

I just visited the sight,and you're right,the enemies do look like the ones in the pics I found!It will be interesting to see what the enemies turn out to be like...I bet the one with the tiki masks is the Uk's version of the Witchdoctor..Also,check out the screenshots of the enemies in the game.

EDIT-Also,I watched the trailor again,and near the end of it,I saw these ships with red and yellow colors on the sails,could these possibly be the Spanish?

For the most part, I think the bad guys are... bad lookin. The pirates are definetly not as good-lookin as they are now.

However, the origin of the images is still in question, as noone has seen them, including a beta tester involved in both beta phases.

So the enemies in these images were not in POTCO beta.

Although I see they are from IGN, I didnt know what game they are listed under, if its just POTCO, and they arent from POTCO beta, wonder where they are from? Maybe an alpha release/video trailer that was released to the game reviewers? Maybe POTCO UK? Maybe an alpha release of POTCO, that was soon changed, and is possibly being fine tuned for POTCO UK?

In the OP's pics, numbers 3 and 4 (in teeny-tiny letters) show (copyright) Disney under the IGN logo in the lower right corner. Not so in pics 1 and 2, but they look cropped also.

They are from a screen shot Disney relaesed befroe the game was even a Beta test.

I still think that the "concept art" looks better than the actual game but doesnt it always?
