sailing night
 

just wanted to run this by everyone.

Was thinking that we could have a fleet night. We could create crews for a couple ships or get everone to break out their own and see if we can take the most ships killed for the night.

Could possibly do privateering or just plunder party.

if you really wanted a fleet we'd have to meet on one server i've noticed the kokoros server has been quiet most of the time

I'm up for a fleet night. Perhaps we could make it the next plunder party?

In my devious little mind, I have been thinking of a couple other event nights. One of those was gonna be a fleet night. My intent was to get everyone on the same server, form crews of 3 or 4 pirates per crew, and go out sinking ships at warp speed.

It would really be nice if some/most/ALL could be in the headsets!

Next, although I'm not into Pvp or Svs, I have been thinking of tournaments there , too!
One thought is PvP in teams of 2, Round robin double elimination tournament. Single weapon per round. With the championship being a weapon free for all!
(This is just an idea, , haven't fully formulated it.

Another is a night of SvS where we form into the French and Spanish fleets, and see who wins the most batttles in a given period of time. This one is harder, because we could never get the servers to ourselves, and would have to contend with not only our guild opponents, but also the others that are in SvS at the same time.


Anyone who might have other thoughts, please let me know.

I think that sounds great...we could always own the server on PVP...glitchers would be an issue, but we could all gang up on them for a while until they bail.

I like the idea of killing ships at warp speed... this was exaclty what I had in mind

we could always do pvp, and just move away from those islands...have everyone sail past tormenta, then start. Not sure of the respawn areas but if we got out of the immediate area might be better.

I am diggin the Armada idea. " Dueces Wild Armada Monster Ship Jam 2008". Let's see how many ships we can sink in a night........... Hmmm so if 5 of our ships shoot 1 NPC ship, does that count as "5" ships sunk?? It would be cool if POTC came up with a way for pirates to sail under their guild banner!

I really like the sailing night. I have not really had enough play time on SvS or PvP to really enjoy it. If it were set up right both tournaments could be really fun...sounds like the start of a DW Olympics...nades for distance (think of shot put), AFK pushing (the pirate version of shuffle board), the high jump (typically over some brave soul), dirting, PvP, SvS, treasure hunting, and over course the most important event, Rumming!

I'm game for a fleet night or olympic thing anytime. It would rock to see a Dueces Wild Armada. I can see the screenshots already, and I can only imagine the chat dialogue.
