here are some pistol tips,

you cannot shoot navy or EITC people

if you shoot anything even if you miss they will attack you

if you use take aim you will do more damage

the top limit for pistol is the triple barrel pistol

the bigger they are, the harder they fall!

All good pointers for the pirate just getting started.

Of course the game tell us ta start it not be allowin shooting navy/eitc/people, gotta keep to the code matey.

Take aim also earns ye more rep.

The top limit (upgrade) for the pistol is a +1 damage tri-barrel that ye quest for at level 15 pistol.

Thar soon to be level 20 quest items about however, this be likely a +2 quested tri-barrel.

Arrr ye may have given the basic facts and a rule of the code but ye havent given the ammo for thy pistol. i have had experience with 5. i know them all and i will list them now Thy ammo all buccaneers should have is: lead shot, venom shot, bane shot, hex-eater shot, silver shot, and steel shot

zep i disagree with that i always notice getting alot less rep when i use take aim

In fact, using take aim gives you greater rep but the higher the take aim bar goes the more damage it affects. More damage = Fewer hits = Less rep. If you fire as soon as the bar shows up instead of filling the bar, you will find you get more rep for the same enemy.

A single shot taken with "Take Aim" scores more rep than a single shot taken with regularly. See the reputation chart/guide here:

This is exactly correct.
Also the various shot types selected will also effect the amount of reps earned, AND the amount of attacks you can get in (as damage varies). (again reference the reputation guide link above)

Also, you will get a lot of reps when you use at least one of each different shots options when killing an enemy. (e.g. shoot an enemy with lead shots two times, then switch to poison shot and shoot two times, and so on...do the cycle).
