Which weapon is best? i ask. which one is the most used? By basic? By unlimited?

Which weapon is best? Everyone thinks a different weapon is best. So imo its Doll.
which one is the most used? Hmm, I'm guessing doll or cutlass or staff

toss up for between Doll and Cutlass ill bet for almost everyone (however a few might like dagger).

The others have more limited uses, or are only used at higher levels.

Doll is used for both attacking, and healing.
Cutlass/dagger are commonly preferred primary weapons.

The rest are just extra :)

if you ask me i see a million basic access members using doll and the most used for unlimited i believe is staff becasue everyone who gets gets harrow staff at like lv 31...(i did that)and i see lv 32s (quite commonly) who use desolation so they are 20+ so yea i believe staff and the best weapon is definetly doll and the wrost in my opinion is nades...:witchani:

From what ive seen in the game is:

Basic mostly uses either the doll or sword
Unlimited mostly uses the sword
and i mostly use the sword

I think the doll is the best, but because the developers didn't balance it correctly with other wepons. You can break attunement with daggers and drain voodoo with pistols, but I rarely use them. In pvp I use doll and cutlass alot and in pve I use whatever I'm trying to level up. The staff is great but I don't pvp with it because you can't move while you cast.

You can't move as in walk/run, but you can turn and aim by holding the right mouse button down and using control to fire it up.

Really in my opinion its not which one is best, but how to use what you have. The answers for this is also going to depend on type of game playing by a player, pvp, soldiers, undead, stumps etc.

In pvp, specially the curse I can say people like the doll, and run off as they attack. One of the bigger latest changes I have seen with the big adjustments to pvp damage.

Over all game play I would say a combo of all. Taking someone through a Kings run for grenades for example. Staff to flame a group, siege bomb to take out most, dagger viper nest, one left cutlass blade storm, doll heal friend and switch to drain life to the enemy.

I think most would find themselves using some of this different stuff to clear the path, and not likely just cutlass, or other single weapon.
Pistol while leveling I have probably used always as one of the big punch weapons to kill to remove, rather than kill to get most rep. Meaning something is draining down you health and you need rid of it.

i always favor the cutlass when on quest. however i would use the weapon with the lower level just to level it up.

An earlier poster mentioned Staff, because of Desolation and stuff. These players are merely showing off with the staff, such spells are not very useful in an actual battle.

Excellent point, I agree with Poison Elf, most of the time you will choose the weapon that
A. Best suits the job at hand for your play style
B. Needs the most work for advancement.

Combos are even more effective, for leveling.

I level the weapons evenly, but I do prefer some over others. For example, the staff is pretty much the enforcer - maxed flame has gotten me out of many a sticky situation. ;) Though it does have its limitations, I rely on it heavily so it's probably my number one at this point.

In terms of what I like using, I like the dagger more than I used to, the cutlass about the same, and the pistol a lot less (since the "update"). I don't tend to use the doll much for actual fighting until life drain, but it is a nice weapon and easy to level. Grenades...yeah, let's not go there... :)

I like grenades the best especialy when boarding ships by yourself. It does over 500 damage every explosive. The cutlass is too up close for me. the pistol is good but take aim takes a while. Doll is my favorite for basic when using it on the living. Daggers havent been very powerful when I used them, this is the worst weapon in my opinion. Grenades take out groups and are good on npcs too. Ive noticed that if you time the throws right, and at the right distance from brigands or possibly other dagger throwers the shots will make them miss every throw. I have yet to have acchieved the staff.

Different situations call for different weapons. Sometimes switching from one to another during battle is helpful. A good example is switching to doll to use life drain instead of wasting a tonic. Sometimes it's a matter of preference. What is your favorite?

Voo Doo Doll - Life Drain
Dagger - Vipers Nest
Grenades - Siege Charge
Staff - Wither/Flame (tough call)
