I'm new to the game and really enjoying it.

After two years break from gaming I decided to try the potco after visiting Disneyland, and I'm hooked.

I love the sea battles and gambling.

The flytrap monsters however; no love there.

Should they be messed with at all? I am only level 10.

Flytraps can be trick when low level, try to get some help :)

Often some friendly pirates hanging around town that will lend a hand if you can communicate with them well. :)

Ye'll learn to love those traps soon--as much as ye loathe 'em now.

AYE...he be right on that account...

Welcome to the POF...and like Zeppers said look around...you'll find quite the many friendly Pirates who would be more then willing to give a hand on those traps...they seem kinda scary at first when you're just a LvL 10 and they're like LvL 18...but once you rank up into your 20's and 30's...they'll seem like baby weeds...

That is until you create your second Pirate and do it all over again...then the fear factor begins anew...

You will need to get them for a few upcoming quets (your Doll and TP Quest I believe) but at L10, unless you get lucky and find a L9-12 Flytrap - avoid the L15's and try to a) level up your weapons a bit to gain Noriety or b) find some help to take them on :)

Hey, did you conquer that fear of those fly traps yet? LOL

I have managed to bag two of them both lvl 13.

I find the new groggy feature to be a bit of a hinderence as I have to wait to not be groggy to try again.


Also the tip about teaming up was the trick.

If you get groggy, I suggest sailing it off or playing the cards meanwhile. One o' the other.
