Game Exited With Error [12]

Anybody else receiving a message "Game Exited With Error [12]" when logging into pirates online? The account name and password screen (login screen) launch successfully, and it starts going through verifying phase 1 through 5 with no issues. The screen then refocuses/shifts itself to the top left corner of my screen. The screen shows "Connecting" with a progress bar at the bottom and only stays at "0%". The game then exits immediately and the report a bug web page comes up. I have already reported the issue twice, and have had no issues playing the game for the past few weeks. My computer is definitely up to speed with hardware/software. I have disabled my virus software briefly to see if that helps which it has not...Any suggestions or people run into this previously?

Me Too

Since last nights update(they closed about midnite eastern time), I have had the same thing happening.
I uninstalled and reinstalled with no results. I also disabled my virus protection. I too sent in bug reports.
I have no solution but am also suffering.
Lets hope they fix this quickly

I had that error happen while I was playing and my ram maxed at 100%, serious memory leak !

I get that message all the time also. Hopefully PotCO will switch to the same server that VMK uses, because VMK never has lag.

I haven't been able to log in all morning. Why did it all die again?

And yes, Nick, I agree. Serious memory leak with the game. Mine keeps getting maxed out too, and I've got state-of-the-art technology on mine! XD

I get exit [12] a lot, certainly not a memory issue, and at least one of my characters i've had not probs with even after login probs on others.

But after last update i have had probs with older charcter, see my post on another thread, i was exiting with [12] on two characters, but new 4th was working fine.

I've tried deleting all the files in my Disney/Disney Online/PiratesOnline folder except the Launcher1.exe and downloading all the files via logging in. All the files are downloaded successfully, but result in the same error. I've been reading on other threads that other players are still logging in successfully albeit with lag issues, but I still believe that the latest patch has a corrupt file which can only be fixed server side.

Looking through my game log, the only line that I find which indicates a problem is..

Yea, I got to play the beta for 30 minutes, then I quit. Right after the server maintence I was unable to log back in due to error 12.

If you mean type of server, sure.
If you mean the same server, NO WAY. VMK server + Beta, memory hoggger POTCO = ABOSOLUTE CHAOS.

Jrm 05-19-2007 04:28 AM

This error has been fixed with the latest patch. :)
