Potc shuttting off without warning at all
 

Has anyone been playing and the computer shuts off for no appearent reason whatsoever? happens to me all the time.

is your Computer Shutting down or is the Game Shutting down?

If your entire Computer Shuts down -- is it restarting and comming back on by itself after this happens or do you have to push the power button?

I can help you further once u answer that lol

Sounds like its a powersupply issue to me, but there could be other causes.
(overheating for example)

its most likely one of 3 things
PSU, CPU or RAM
RAM is not likely but RAM can cause a System to shutdown fully and even reboot itself

Id say the most likely culprit is - CPU overheating causing the Temp. Safe Guards to kick in and close the system down These safe guards can do both things though - they can be set to Shutdown totally or just reboot (depends on the MB Bios)

Is it the ENTIRE CP turning off, or just the game?

It Could be the server resetting.

Swash - could be correct as well - however usually a message is displayed in game stating a Pirates is closing for Mait. etc..

NOW I have seen the servers reset spontaniously - but ive only seen it twice

If the game is causing your CP to shut off, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If that doesn't help then maybe it has something to do with your graphics card. I'm not really the CP genius on these forums.

One time POTCO totally froze on me, CTRL + ALT + Delete didnt even work! So I was forced to use the button. turned my computer back on and it crashed. Had to system reboot. Not good.

problem with this thread is we dont really know the exact issue until dude replies with more details

so does he mean Game closes with no warning or does he mean the Actual Computer is shutting down

if the Computer is shutting down does it auto-reboot or does he have to push the power button?

I think he means that POTCO just closes for no reason, or his computer turns off for no reason.

Well, i think he needs to reinstall the game.

Do you have limited axcess?i have noticed when ever i play on my limited account when ever i die it just closes and the "report a bug" thing doesnt even pop up
