Do you get Double Rep for quests also?

I was just wondering. Will you get 200 rep instead of 100 rep? Or 1000 rep instead of 500 rep? I leveled my pirate's weapons last Double Rep Weekend so i don't know if you do.:)

Swash 09-26-2008 09:54 PM

I dont think ye do because that wouldnt be fair to other questers.

Dr. Zeppers 09-26-2008 10:01 PM

Yes, it should.

It did during the last double rep event.

If you show up and play between the right hours, on the right days, you get the rewards.
If you dont, you wont. Its perfectly fair.

Then it will for the Boss Battle? Because you would get 8000 rep for it. 4000 for completing it and another 4000 for visiting Jack Sparrow.

It wont be fair because some people dont even have any more quests and others have a bunch... Not fair.

It really is fair, because the people who have no quests just finished them earlier. Same thing with weapons. Its fair if you have a mastered cutlass, and get no rep, when somebody else has a level 19 cutlass, and does get rep. Its not unfair, its how you play the game, "do I wait, or do it now?"

I would guess so... however how many will be at that point doing the boss battle in those couple hours?
You do not get that notoriety when your helping someone else on their boss battle. It is possible that it doesnt for the BB since it is technically a "Treasure Map" event, and not regular.

Ok, well its not fair for weapons either, if a pirates weapons are all mastered, and all they need is notoriety.

We need to cancel the event.</sarcasm>

Added: Yup.. codiac is on track ;) It's possible they dont, but im fairly positive they do, I remember being told so last double rep event, and I was mad I didnt take advantae of it. hehe

Mr.LoveLocket 09-26-2008 10:50 PM

You do and its very fair

League 09-26-2008 11:24 PM

If it lies for all to take advantage of, and some don't, it doesn't make it unfair.

You People Dont Get The Point Quests Give out A ton Of rep Doubling to 200 rep per quest is Obsurd.

There's no point in arguing, Swash. You're not going to convince them, and apparently, they're not going to convince you. It's personal opinion - let it go.

Anyone have a baby pirate handy, that hasn't mastered sailing, grenades or cannons? It would be a pretty cool challenge, to see if you could get 900 rep on a single ship.

100 - sailing
100 - cannons
100 - grenades
150 - 50% crew bonus (for a crew of 8)
450 - double reputation bonus
---------------------------------------
900 - for one single ship sinking.

Be quite a screen shot contest, eh?

Well, anyone know if our voodoo dolls will also gain double rep?

Not allowing it would be absurd and unfair.
Complaining about it sounds like sour grapes from those that have already completed all the quests.
Use the event to master your weapons.
For those that have mastered weapons and working on notoriety.. quest!

Theres nothing unfair about it.

Plus for level 40 pirates the point is moot.

Using your logic Swash the doublegold event wasnt fair to those that already had max gold, so perhaps we should let them know the error in their judgement and ask they never hold such an event again because its unfair (using bogus Swash logic) for those of us already with max gold.

Everything that scores rep should give double rep.

Foul Weather 09-27-2008 01:13 AM

I Did

I earned plenty of unfair, absurd double rep last time on my quests, and I plan to do it again!:12_1_138:
