Most Anticipated Update?

What is your most anticipated update announced by POTCO recently? Mine is the reassigning of skill points.:)

davy redflint 09-26-2008 12:01 PM

none of the above, need more story line quest and raise noterity & weapons caps

Reassigned skill points for me...but new enemies are very close. ;)

I think for me it's the new enemies, mostly because I need to battle some high levels to catch up on my weapons skills, but reassigning skill points comes in a close second. I don't think I really need to reassign anything on my weapons, or at least not much, but I would like to reassign some on my cannon (the three points in chain shot, for instance), so I hope that's possible to do at some point. I guess it doesn't count as a weapon though so I have my doubts about that being enabled this time around. I don't know exactly how the respec will work but I kinda hope we can bank them and decide where to place them later. I would like to take 1 or 2 of the 3 points I have in wither out temporarily so I can level staff faster.

Ditto for me as well :) It will be interesting to see the cost though... one will have to think what they want to do with that pirate before 'thowing' money all over the place - espically if the cost is in the 1000's for a change.

You mean tens of thousands, right? 1,000 gp is absolutely nothing. That would mean I could experiment with several different complete builds in one day, on a single pirate.

Maybe allowing reallocation isn't such a great idea, after all.

I would have to say the new enemies. I messed up some of my skill points, but that's what making a new pirate was for. We need more higher level enemies and a new story line quest the most of anything they could give us. Maybe the new storyline could only be done when you reach lvl 30 or lvl 40, that way it would give the big pirates something to work on and it would be limited to higher lvl pirates.

We need more islands like Tormenta, where you can go and not be bothered with all the friends request and other stuff. More high lvl clothing/tattoo quest that require you to kill Death Omens, Collosus, Raiders, ect. That way it is limited to who can do it.

just an opinion

Well, it mentions that for each time it is used - the cost increases. So, I can see the first 1-3 being in the lower costs (possible 500-1000-2000) but what happens if you decide to change again? (4000-8000-16000?).

Since it is an increase cost per usage - you won't be able to just 'switch up' every 2 hours :) (well for the first day maybe - until your broke :D )

Everyone should remember this is a method of 'fixing' a few areas which you feel like you got wrong... not a free-for-all on redesigning your pirate every week (they would have to call it fashion-pirate-show runway... to show off your latest build! hehehe :) )

Well, I hope it works out that way...that it is not a pirate-build-fashion-show. Still, I can generate 16k in forty minutes at blackjack, or a little over an hour at Kingshead (when out of cheat cards) or an hour and a half sailing. Sounds like a good cure for my "max gold" problems! :-)

Deffinitelly new enemies

Dude - YOU have 800+ cheat cards... almost none of us have that many to play BJ with LOL! :D

So - in YOUR case - you can play fashion show pirate for probably a few weeks ;) - but the rest of us hard working pirates that only have a few cards, its probably just a one shot deals with occasional changes every few months... maybe (or at most maybe 2-3 changes on each weapon :) )

I will likely remove a few skill points where I did find they were likely wasted.

I will probably be MUCH more hesitant to immediately reapply them without properly thinking it out. Granted the Gold cost, etc can become a factor. What if its like this..
500 - 1000 - 2000 - 4000 - 8000 - 16000 - 32000 - 64000 (could get quite expensive)

New enemies are nifty, and sorta a short answer.
I anticipate and look forward to more content additions in the future.

It seems as though these small updates are only here to occupy our minds to delay us from noticing there's no new story updates.
Hopefully the new story quests will come out soon.

I cant wait to reassign skill points. I made a few mistakes on my doll. I maxed scorch. Oh and I maxed firebrand. Flaming Skull was a good investment. Wait... Why am i maxing everything involving fire?! Oh and firebomb is... you get my point
