|

|
Well mine's not working still.
|
Hmm i dont know are you sure your on the right connection?
|
Routers can be picky if not configured properly, and if not kept up to date with the latest firmware available to keep it communicating as internet standards change.
You may want to make sure your router is completely up to date. If not comfortable with such a process, please ask someone who is for assistance. ;) |

Okay I posted a fix on the forum just then, look for it. :D I had this issue. and it ISNT firmware related.

I am not sure myself what exactly is causing this issue. I don't believe it to be as simple as just updating to service pack 3.
I have had service pack 3, and never have had this problem on live. I get this though every now and then and recently on the test server on the same computer. I just did a defrag last night and what a ton of fragmented files. As a guess though I think this is a possible issue with sp2 or firewall blocking files or something on updates, possibly leakage, but just a wild guess. I would suggest doing a defrag on your main disk first if you haven't recently while having pirates for very long. At least my test game now isn't doing it after that. To do this or check, click my computer. Right click your main drive, and click properties. Under tools you can click defragment now, and analyze your drive to see if you need to defrag and view how many Pirates files are in this. |
Oh trust me. I've dabbled with computers since way back with the 'acorn' monstrocities. (sp >.>)
Anyway. I was baffled as well that it was so oddly simple, but as I had stated on my previous forum entry, i've tested it on several different systems. All had sp2 and all experienced the same issue. SP3 fixed it. |
The point I was making is I have sp3 and it is still happening. I agree with what zep said, its likely something in the sp3 download is fixing the problem in networking or something.
It is not a overall fix though, and like me, can just later occur again. I also held out for sp3 but finally did do it, but many may still be holding out on it, and I would try a defrag first and clear up the disk anyways before a download of something like sp3. |
I think I may have figured out what is causing this problem. I went to the community site logged in, players page, broadband, back to community site, back to players site to the dxd pirates page.
After finishing here, I noticed it will not let you log out. Closing the explorer I don't think is logging ya out. So when going into game this code is coming up, as it just did for me again today. Entering the game while in the dxd site also causes this error. I tried it a few times, while sometimes I could log out of the dxd site. I went back into the community site logged in and out and haven't got the code, perhaps this will help. In any case this error seems to be a conflict with being logged in the dxd site while trying to also log into the game, at least for me. |
