Navy Sergeant--Help!
 

I'm doing the Black Pearl quest and I've been stuck at this part for the longest time: Defeat Claude D'Arcis disguised as a Navy Sergeant and recover a handkerchief. Well, I've been trying to defeat as many sergeants as I can but I never could until just now when I found a lower level one. I defeated him but for some reason I didn't get the handkerchief! I really don't know what to do now.

Suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated :sadmh9:

You will need to kill a few of them before the game decides you found the right one.

Switch servers or keep trying. I killed 6 to get mine :)

Learn to get healing from Gordon Greer and just stay there in Fort Charles until you get the sergeant the game is looking for. Ask people nearby for help. Go to the bottom left corner of you screen, click on the skull, then Quests, then "I need to recover a handkerchief from a L7+ Sergeant" or whatever it is.

I found mine by boarding a navy flagship and killing one of the sergeants there.... Like ofxzeppers said, you just have to wait until the game 'decides' you've killed the right sergeant. I've noticed that sometimes switching to a lower level weapons (for example, dagger instead of cutlass) will sometimes trigger it.

Yea sometimes you get it on your first try others you get it on your 100th try it all depends.
