heh, hes stupid. Come on hes navy...and pirates are sneaky, he cant hear us. Throw a siege charge at him and see what happens!!

He doesn't get paid enough. Oh and plus if he knows that if he kills us we will just come back. Gets kinda tiring for navy soldiers.:)

the simple answer is that he is not there merely part of the background imagery kind of like a barrel or a crate
