Hey Moderators, what gives with posting?
 

What's up with the now consistant having your messages approved for posting vice the system that you had before.

If it was a change due to the number of rude or crude remarks being left - don't punish the ones who do not condone that action to begin with, punish the guilty parties by MAC address filtering or through deleting their accounts as necessary.

By in large this has become rather frustrating...especially when you consider that I do not post frequetly to begin with.

I understand that you are not a brand new member here, as you registered in February, but these are your first series of posts, so they're in the queue.


All new members get a 1-3 week moderation period where mods check all your posts before putting them up and check all your threads. Rarely is the moderation period more than a week, but for some it does take that long. If some of your posts are against rules they will not be posted.

Their forum, their rules. :shrug: I don't mind as I'm a mod and admin over at our Guild Site (Guild for Uru, not POTC) so I understand quite a bit where the mods are coming from.

I can understand having an urgent question though. In that case I'd suggest for noobs who don't want to wait until a Mod approves your urgent posted question, that instead you PM the Mod's themselves. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to try and answer your question right away.

Or you could try PM'ing another member that you might see listed online right then.

Oh yea some accounts where put back on moderation queue after the crash hope it gets fixed for you :)

Yea I remember when i was in moderation queue it lased about 2-3 days.

Yea, whatever the person who posted this is talkin about, the moment i read this i was like,"oh yea, i agree." LOL because they give people grief even if it's something simple as posting something, or asking them a question, even when it CLEARLY says:
"If you have any questions on, posting images or anything like that MESSAGE A MOD-ER-RATOR!" Ok, not exact quote but yea. ;) I'mannoyed too. But not as annoyed (this isn't about meh ;) lol) :P but it became it- anyway, aww man this is frustrating =/ thank you for posting this

As for modding accounts - its your safety as well as ours. Many accounts here go dormant then wake up one day trying to spam and flood the forums... innocent accounts which no one thinks of...

This protects everyone from that mess - and keeps the ship running s-m-o-o-t-h (and I kile a smooth ruinnin' ship :D )

No worries, and thanks for your assistance. I just was able to check through the postings tonight (work has been crazy lately).

Max - just to give you a little hint about me, I retired from the USMC; that's the way my ship runs.

Well if the USMC didn't run smooth - we'd all be in trouble :D Glad to see you got some time to check on the forums (real life - it gets busy at times :) )

I was confused with the queue too. But it only lasted about a week or so. Because one of my posts had something in it which it shouldn't of had...but I didn't know and I learned my lesson!
